Mortgage Guide publishes free calculators and plain-language guides for people comparing US mortgage numbers. The site is not a lender, mortgage broker, bank, or government agency. It does not take applications and it does not sell the numbers you type into a calculator.

The editorial team is the people who build and review this site. We do not describe the pages as expert-reviewed by a licensed loan officer, attorney, or financial planner, because that review process is not in place. Pages name their assumptions and link to public sources such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, HUD, VA, and USDA.

Rate assumptions and content were updated October 2026. An example interest rate is not a live market quote. If a fee schedule can change, the page says so.
